The
children who attend the Jewish Community
Center of Greater Orlando (JCC) now have
a state-of-the-art computer center in
their Early Childhood Center. Veredus
Corporation, with offices in Tampa and
Maitland, Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia,
donated seven new computers,
monitors, speakers and accessories to
the JCC in February 2004.
"We
wanted to give the children in the area
access to the latest technology that they
might not have at home," said James Hawley,
Managing Partner at Veredus Corporation
in Maitland. "With so many members at
the JCC, this was a need that could help
many children."
Carol
McNally, ECLC Director at the JCC, says
that the donation has been a wonderful
addition. Computer technology for preschool
children has always been an important
part of the ECLC curriculum. During the
past few years the computer lab has struggled
to maintain our 8-9 year old computers
and software programs. Veredus Corporation's
generous donation funded seven new computers
and updated software in our lab."
